Dinosaur Park

Dinosaur Park is in Rapid City. It was built in 1931 by the WPA. WPA was Work Program of America. It was a government program to assist with the stock market crash and the depression. My grandfather Gerrit Westera was a WPA worker. That is how he suported his family then. Good thing. He helped built bridges, roads, train tracks, parks etc. I don't know if he worked on this park as we were very young when he passed away and couldn't find out. Nancy found pictures that my mother had taken of the park in 1942. Also some pictures of some of the places we have seen this year. It is really cool. That is me in front of the dinosaur. There are also pictures of Nancy and I in front of this Dinosaur. She is trying to locate them.
